It soothes the redness -Cucumber facial sheet mask

Disclosure: No I don't get paid if you buy this product . Even if I did it wouldn't change a thing . Price still stays the same. ONLY $1.29.

I just like this product .  This! Cucumber sheet mask will leave your skin hydrated and look absolutely radiant like glowing. We all need to pamper our skin once in awhile and this doesn't cost much at all so you need to get it . I bought something like 8 or 9 different ones and I hope they ALL work like this . I'm serious your face will love you for it. This mask is soothing and refreshing and it even smells like cucumbers. if you don't like cucumbers well I don't know what to say. It is very hydrating  and the product does exactly what it says. It calms the redness. The nice thing about it also is that you don't wash it off after you remove the mask . Just leave the moistness on and go to bed .

Thanks for liking!

Teaser Tuesday - Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire #1)

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)

by George R.R. Martin

I'm having a hard time reading and listening to A Song of Ice and Fire because I've already seen Game of Thrones on TV through to season 4. I might've ruined the books and subsequently I feel the books aren't as good as the TV series and aren't grabbing my attention. It's redundant reading A Song of Ice and Fire especially when I've seen and loved the first 10 episodes already. UGH! I'm sad :(.

Anyway here are a couple quotes and TEASERS from A Song of Ice and Fire.

"When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground."-pg. 488 Cersei to Lord Eddard Stark.

I am the blood of the dragon, she told herself as she took the stallion's heart in both hands, lifted it to her mouth, and plunged her teeth into the tough, stringy flesh. - pg 489

Burned Teaser

I do something I never let myself do, and tie her feet down, too, thinking, Man, she should not be letting me do this, followed by, Man, I know better than to do this.

I got her spread-eagled naked, legs wide, totally at my mercy, and I’m not gonna have one fucking ounce of it. She’s not getting out of this bed until she’s had the most explosive orgasm of her life, followed by a few hundred more. I’m keeping her for weeks.

I’m keeping her until she’s telling me I’m the hottest fuck she’s ever had and means it. Until she’s Lor-Pri-ya. Until she sees there’s a little more going on here than Mr. Fucking-Second-Rate-Nice-Guy who’s fun, for fuck’s sake, and wasn’t one of the most vicious killers the old world knew. I can keep it under control. I’ve been soaked in sex for the past week and a half. The lethal edge is off my appetite.

Mostly.

"Jojen Reed: The reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon Reading Update: I've read 590 out of 870 pages.

Outlander - Diana Gabaldon

Finding herself lost in the 1700's all Claire Beauchamp wanted to do was to go back to the future; back to her husband Frank in the 1940's. It was what I was hoping for, but when it came time for her leave, she couldn't. I'd never read a longer chapter in all my life! Chapter 25! UGH!

Outlander is without a doubt a long story so I'm listening to it on my ipod. It's taking awhile and.I've even fell asleep a couple of times but not long enough that I couldn't pick up the story upon reawakening, and anyway I can go back and read the parts I missed in the book. When I don't have my earphones in , I'm thinking about and dreaming about Outlander all day long. O Aye! I can't stop talking like Jamie either lol.

Shattered (The Iron Druid Chronicles #7)

Shattered - Kevin Hearne

For nearly two thousand years, there was only one Druid left walking the Earth—Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword kept him alive while pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he’s got company. Atticus’s apprentice Granuaile is at last a full Druid herself. What’s more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do. Atticus takes pleasure in the role reversal, as the student is now the teacher. Between busting Atticus’s chops and trying to fathom a cell phone, Owen must also learn English. For Atticus, the jury’s still out on whether the wily old coot will be an asset in the epic battle with Norse god Loki—or merely a pain in the arse. But Atticus isn’t the only one with daddy issues. Granuaile faces a great challenge: to exorcise a sorcerer’s spirit that is possessing her father in India. Even with the help of the witch Laksha, Granuaile may be facing a crushing defeat. As the trio of Druids deals with pestilence-spreading demons, bacon-loving yeti, fierce flying foxes, and frenzied Fae, they’re hoping that this time . . . three’s a charm.

What I didn't like was that Granuaille and Atticus weren't together, which equals romantically boring, but we saw Owen and Greta get their freak on instead lol . Owen is Atticus' mentor who was frozen in time for over 2,000 years, and Greta is a werewolf who travels with Hal Hauks pack and holds a grudge against Atticus.

I couldn't figure out the first person narrative of each chapter until I realized I had to pay attention to the picture that describes who it might be. jeesh. The chapters alternated points of view from Owen, Atticus and Granuaille.

I like snow and the Yeti, and the part that stood out the most, which I found interesting, was when Granuaille asked the Yeti to tell her about snow.

"Snow is the form to which all water aspires, for only as snow is it unique and at rest," and "Vapor is distant and water cuts away at the earth, but snow is the blanket that protects us."

SPOILER ALERT!

Beautiful Oblivion

Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Beautiful Oblivion takes place in and around the same time as all the other Beautiful books and ends with the Keaton Hall Fire that killed a few college students...I'm beginning to think that Jamie McGuire is stuck on one track:/ I would think that would get tiring and redundant after awhile and in fact the story moved progressively slow between Camille's job as a waitress at the Red and a receptionist at the same Tattoo parlour Trent worked at. I liked Trenton a little less than Travis.

Anyway Beautiful Oblivion was written from Camille's pov and she was in a relationship with this mysterious character called T.J. before Trent. I never knew who T.J was until it was revealed at the very last, but I never liked him for being absent from Cami's life. Anyway is it just me or was it kinda lame to keep his identity hidden from us? I know that T.J wanted it that way but jeez do you think it would've spared us from Trent's anger!?

In previous installments we knew the Maddox brothers had an older brother named Tommy and that he worked in california as a private investigator on some secret mission. Well, can you guess who T.J is? HECK YA! Thomas James Maddox ! Having said that, I think he should have his own book right?

SPOILER ALERT!

HARRY POTTER and the Goblet of Fire #4

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)Ugh! How frustrating and stupid Cornelius Fudge is! I was outraged that before Bart Crouch admitted to Voldemorts rising again, Barty was killed by a dementor! AND on top of that Cornelius didn't believe Voldemort was back again even after Harry Potter saw him rise before his eyes! even after Cedric died there in the graveyard! It was a very sad ending and the only ones who seemed to have gained anything this year was George and Fred Weasley. Harry Potter gave the thousand galleons he won from the Tri Wizard Tournament to them.

I would've never guessed who the culprit was who'd been spying at Hogwarts the whole time right under everyone's noses. From the beginning the story flowed quite nicely and now that I've read it, I understood a lot more than I'd perceived from watching the movie.

Something we learn by reading the book that we don't see in the movie was that Rita Skeeter was an Animagus who transformed herself into a black beetle. That's why she was able to write in depth stories about things to put in the Daily Prophet Newspaper.

I've been on a Harry Potter book/movie marathon for the past week starting with the Philosopher's Stone. I have to say the movie cuts out a lot of insightful information however I thought the tent the Weasleys stayed in looked better in the movie ha! The house elfs were completely left out in this movie whereas Winky played a big role and so did Dobby and the rest of the Hogwarts house elves.

The Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter #2)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J.K. Rowling

Wow, that was unreal!

When Harry is with the Dursley's you can't help but feel sorry for him because of being treated so unfairly by his Muggle Family. However, everyone knows about Harry Potter, the boy who lived. He's quite famous in the wizarding world because of the scar on his forehead. When he was a baby his mother sacrificed herself to save Harry from Voldemort. We know that it was the love for her child that defended him but Voldemort's a complex character that we won't fully understand until the very end apparently.

Dobby the house-elf tries to persuade Harry not to go back to Hogwarts because he's terrified of the evil plans against Harry, his intentions are good but Harry ends up with a load of grief not just from the Dursley's but from Hogwarts too. School didn't start off on the right foot for Harry or Ron Weasley as Dobby had blocked off the wall leading to platform 9 3/4 and they missed the train and had to borrow Mr. Weasley's flying car and crashed into a Whomping Willow. They both were in major trouble all because of Dobby's good intentions. *sigh

Ginny Weasley got hoodwinked in Voldemorts dark powers. Mr. Malfoy put an object of dark magic inside her basket of schoolbooks. It was a diary that belonged to Tom Riddle. She was unaware that he was controlling her and it almost killed her and some of the students at Hogwarts including Harry , but Harry and Ron figured it out and were able to solve the game of Clue and save the day.

Mr. Mercedes ( Unnamed Trilogy #1 )

Mr. Mercedes - Stephen King

Brady Hartfield is one creepy and disturbed character whom I could believe is real because of such people like Ted Bundy.

I was engrossed in page after page of how the perpetrator was so close yet failed to get caught. How did that happen? Brady may have evaded getting caught in the City Center Massacre that killed 8 people but he was never going to allow anyone to take his recognition as a massive killer away from him as he prided himself in it. Ugh! what a sicko!

He may have promised Hodges the retired detective -DET RET that he would never do it again, but he had plans on killing again.

Even though I'd enjoyed a few books by Stephen King, I am not a big fan. He's such a cynic and he shows it in his writings on just about everything. i.e.:

"To Hodges she looks like Princess Leia after a year on the Karen Carpenter diet?"

really? I was interested in the characters like Jerome and Holly; the main "heroes", but I was sad about what happens to Hodges' love interest Janey, because I liked her a lot.

Oh and I suspect we haven't seen the last of Brady Hartfield .

The Alchemist

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

Fantastic!
